The wait is finally over, and it was well worth it. Here's the new album!
Thank you for making songwriter John Williamson's first album an incredible
success! All of the cards, letters, and emails, and the support John has
received from everyone have been greatly appreciated. A lot of time has
passed since the release of the debut, and John has worked very hard to
bring you his brand-new album,"The Whiskey and the Highway."
This is John's first release in three years, and it's been time well spent.
Twelve new tracks offer more of the same great material
you’ve come to expect from John: hard drinking, hard loving, hardcore Southern
country-folk music! John's trademark style shines through in his new songs,
but the new album is also full of surprises. To find out what we mean, click
on the mp3 links to your right. These are just short chapters of the full-length
stories you'll find on the album, so if you want to hear "the rest of the story,"
get yourself a copy of "The Whiskey and the Highway."
The album was produced in Nashville by veteran guitar-slinger Jody Harris,
of Kenny Chesney and John Michael Montgomery fame. Jody played drums, bass and
Fender telecaster, surrounding John's acoustic guitar and vocals with the purest
country soul. Add to that the dynamic dobro of Johnny B. Bellar, the fine fiddle
and magic mandolin of Tim Lorsch, and the outstanding steel guitar of country legend
Lloyd Green, and you've got what some in Nashville are already calling one of the
year's best releases.
